'The property was in a main street (easy to find) - and the street was not at all busy. Our husbands found the local watering hole very amenable....the history associated with the building was fascinating. The facilities were great (all mentioned by other guests) and we found the outdoor area lovely for a quiet drink at the end of a busy day.' - Sue, WA - March 2011

Home away from home” This is a great place to stay it's like a home away from home. Comfortable and relaxing, Kitchen is great, we cooked ourselves dinner, it is well set-up. Spacious bathroom with a beautiful spa bath, it even has a washing machine with washing powder provided. Well situated within the Barossa. Could not have asked for anything better!

"Really rustic but clean and well fitted out. Quiet and charming Loved it. It's great to be able to wander to the Pub for a really good, reasonably priced meal or to have a BBQ at the place (we did both - on different nights of course). Will be back we hope." - Matthew, NSW - January 2011

"The cottage was gorgeous; the perfect size for one or two couples, with a wonderful atmosphere and convenient location. The port, wine, chocolates, and comfortable robes were a lovely touch. Access to the property was simple, and the Barossa travel magazines were very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience."

Dear Sir/Madam

We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Old Telegraph Station on the above dates.

We felt that everything was catered for to the highest standard and we wanted to thank you as we had the loveliest time.

The food you left for us was delicious and we were able to literally walk in and unpack and not worry about stocking up on essentials.  Our two children (4 and 1) loved playing in the back garden, and greatly enjoyed the sweets you left for us.

Thank you also for the large amount of bath towels you left for us and also for the amount of toilet roll you provided.  A lot of supposed 4/5 star self-catering places we have stayed at have never provided toilet roll for the whole length of our stay.  It may seem a small thing but it was greatly appreciated, as we were able to enjoy our stay in the Barossa without continually running to the shops for supplies.

...we will definitely be back.

Best regards
E & J Latner

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenock's Old Telegraph Station.  The entire process from booking through to our arrival was smooth and efficient.  We arrived to a warm cottage as heaters had been turned on before our arrival.  The breakfast provisions in the cottage were wonderful as it meant we didn't have to worry about going shopping late afternoon.  Everything was comfortable (especially the robes!) and with our 2 night stay we had the chance to relax in the spa bath with a few beers from the craft brewing company next door.  There was off-street parking and nice backyard (although too cold for us to use it, we enjoyed watching a few of teh local birds drop by).  We found the cottage to be just a stone's throw from Barossa and it was nice to go and visit the wineries and be able to come back 'home' to our quiet and welcoming cottage.  If we are ever in the region again, we will definitely be hoping to stay at Greenock's Old Telegraph Station."
